A Google map that pin points pubs that are known to allow over night stops..
I have accumulated these from various internet sites & have checked them on Google street view where possible. Some I have used personally.
I invite anyone who knows of others to contact me with details as this is an ongoing project that I will add to

May I suggest the point being that some one, a funster, is actually trying to do it for Free?
Passing his findings on to other Funsters,
saving the £30

Its a great idea and better than paying £30 for the privelage. Still cant see them though. Is it a browser issue? Im using IE 8.

I have a couple I would add but they might already by on. I reckon if everyone adds a couple then it would soon be as good as the one thats £30.

My point of doing this is to give you all a FREE list compiled from all over the web.
Many are not campsites John, I didn't want to include these as they are available elsewhere.

Loading issues are usually because folks are not waiting while it downloads, be patient.

I have just checked it & all is showing as I set it up. I think the first time will take a little longer but future access will be quicker, that's what I find.

If everyone joins in I'm sure it could be a valuable addition to our travels.

So, come on bombard me with you favorites.

PS Just checked my loading time for the map from the link, 5 seconds.

Strangely I just tried it again and it worked immediately. You already have the ones I would have put in but I will add one other. As well as the Pooley Bridge in at Ullswater the pub over the road The Sun Inn also allows motorhomes in its car park although its car park isnt as big as the Pooley Bridge Inn. CA10 2NN

I have the same problem with one of the Google maps that I show on my web site - click the link - and a blank map appears.

I have solved my problem to a large extent by telling people to load the link and then click on the browser 'back' button - the left-pointing white arrow in a blue circle at the top left of your screen.

It may not work for you specifically - but it does for a lot of other people. :thumb:

It is showing up on my pc ok takes about 5 seconds as already said.

Incidentally do you know of any such places in Southern Ireland by any chance?

I think Google maps is having a bad day, I had similar issues with my maps yesterday .. the map would generate but without the POIs .. :Sad:

Aha! Yes I tried several times and saw only map, but by using the 'back' button, as suggested, the locations all appeared - very strange.

I have the book, and I've stayed at a few pubs mentioned, and also suggested a few for the book, for which I was credited my £30.
