Find an medium sized airfield Martin... might have just about enough room to swing Smudger's outfit around and one or two of their petrol tankers might be able to refuel him...

Dont forget martin that a lot of the roads in cornwall are not suitable for an rv and trailer the length of smudgers, so will be difficult to get off the beaten track (main routes) in order to wildcamp

There are about a dozen sites from the RV Owners Club Link Removedthat will take RVs in Cornwall. Most have easy access but its a must to check with each one first. I would not go exploring Cornwall in Smudgers rig, those Cornish walls are so scary and unforgiving:thumb:

You are goingto be looking for one big lay-by

Boy, with his rig you are going to need one big lay-by.... As said watch those walls covered in green.. They are not forgiving.. Love Cornwall, but even makes me pause... Used to go near Looe a lot, main roads fair from main A30 but still care needed... Big issue is if you have to backup or turn around..

the narrow twisting roads of Cornwall are not the place for smudgers rig, even Devon has its share of narrow roads. dorset is a far better bet. Good luck wherever you end up, the RV and trailer are not really built for wilding in the UK. Can be highly stressfull looking for someplace to turn around or backing a trailer up 2 miles. Good luck whereever you end up, France is the best bet or Portugal.

Davidstow airfield!......Ideal. It is common land, tarmac intact-ish. Don't think anyone would mind overnight or two. Contact the local council and ask!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davidstow_Circuit

It was an old ww2 airfield that was used as a race track for some time, it is now abandoned. A mian road passes through the middle. The old circuit is used for grazing sheep, and driving instructors use it for learners at times.

It is big enough to find a quiet section!
