I want to design a poster for my up & coming Craft Fayre, can anyone recommend software that will enable me to do a good job.
Free would be nice of course, but something that will allow me to be creative with it.

I use MS Publisher. The complete 2016 Office download is as cheap as chips on Ebay.
Or - https://microsoft_publisher.en.downloadastro.com/

I use it too. Is that download link safe? I can't tell on my phone but it looks suspicious.

Hazel get a large white board & a pack of crayons, give them to Robert and instruct him to use his arty farty imagination.
Just think of the hours of fun you will have, wiping the board clean, and slapping him round the back of the head until he comes up with something impressive.
Thinking of you tomorrow, hope the service goes as planned.?

Jim showed me a bit of software the other day. I think this was it. Broken Link Removed

It looked really good. Maybe Jim could confirm if this was it and if he thinks it is suitable?

I just checked and Libre Office comes with Draw and Impress. Not sure how suitable they are but they are free and works on Linux, Mac and Windows.

One of the best packages for professional design is Corel Draw only limited by your imagination (+ ability to learn new software) which I find more difficult as I get older:giggle:
They do a subsidised student version which is really good value for the money.

Sending you hugs, I know you need em just now, I still miss my mum so much, it felt like it was just her & me the last few years that she needed help at home.
You & Robert will always be my Pals, and anyway, he doesn't have to start the posters yet, or does he?
Keep in touch, we thought of you both at 2PM, Tina had a funeral at 3PM to go to, but she didnt have it in her to attend today.
Love & best wishes.
Les & Tina

Sorry Hazel its still hard to read the turquoise & now the purple headings, you might just have to try a light plain background to see all the colours distinctly, or even just use the one bold contrasting colour for all the sub headings.
Give the crayon set back to Robert:LOL:

Yes I agree, the content is fine, just the presentation needs sorting.
He's not allowed any crayons because he eats them, I think he likes the different colours on his teeth...….:clap:?

Contrast is a big problem with that unfortuanetly. I can't read half the text sorry.

I have been tripping over this myself in some web work I have been doing. I watched this video which may give you some help. It helped me fix my designs to make them more readable.

If you are using canva as jim recommended above it covers the tool to allow you to check your contrast objectively.

More than toes wet now!
As said, a plain background would be better.
Why not stencil it to Robert's forehead and get him to "wander" around? Mobile advertising.(y)

Thank you for all the suggestions & for getting on the right road.
I knew testing on oldies with dodgy eyesight was a good idea.:imoutahere:….sorry, couldn't resist that.
