Does anyone know what the footprint for a Maxview Omnisat B2590 Crank Up Digital 66cm Satellite Dish is when in it's lowered position.

The mounting plate is 500mm x 500mm.

Have a look at this, I hope it helps...

Thanks Bryan but it's the overall size including the dish when it is down I am trying to find, my estimate is around 800x700, but was hoping someone would know for sure

Do we have a Satellite dish expert:ROFLMAO:

Jim have you managed to measure your dish yet?

Please don't try to get on top if is wet and unsafe to do so.

Bryan.

if you need these clearances all round how do you mount it over a cupboard/wardrobe.
dont know if youre refering to a manual or auto system though.

This is a Manual crank up, but I'm not sure what you mean .. the only part that comes through the roof is the cranking shaft.. how does it depend on cupboards/wardrobes ?

hi jim'
the ones i'v seen have a crank handle and elevation/degree dial that hangs down slightly and it aint very pretty.
i beleive these are usualy positioned in a cupboard out of sight.
please correct me if im wrong.

There's a new version Link Removed that has a pole that sits in the wardrobe.

Hi..

It's not a new version but a different model with auto wind up rather than manual cranking.
I looked at this version but decided against it as
a) it needed a wardrobe space
b) couldn't see a great benefit (if any) in auto crank up to the desired azimuth (vertical alignment). Horizontal alignment is still carried out manually by rotating the through the roof mast.. not easy if your head's stuck in a cupboard .. :ROFLMAO:
