Hi, we are considering a motorhome tour of about 10-14 days around north and central Wales. Got two dogs and enjoy good scenery and walks.

More than toes wet now!
There's the C&MC site at Chirk (Lady Margarets) that's about 5-10 minutes walk to this.

Far side is England. Near side is Wales. About a mile or so along the tow path there's a pub.
Head the other way and you go through a long tunnel (take a torch!).
The town is about 15 minutes walk with a few pubs \ cafes \ etc.
There a National Trust property (Chirk Castle) next door.
There's a train station 5 minutes walk from the site.
The site itself has an expansive field for dog exercising (off lead).

And keep walking and you end up in Llangollen. Fantastic walk along the canal on a nice day. maybe take your bikes. We go from Chirk to Llangollen cycling along the tow path.

Hi, we are considering a motorhome tour of about 10-14 days around north and central Wales. Got two dogs and enjoy good scenery and walks.
We are also planning a trip around Mid/North Wales in June so far I have the following places on the radar...
Travelling up from Bristol stop over Orleton Rise in Ludlow (maybe 2 nights) - Pen-Y-Bont camping lake Bala - Nantcol Waterfalls Camping Llanbedr or somewhere in Llanberis then over to the coast somewhere near Abersoch possibly on the way home Pencelli Castle Brecon
We basically book locations that suit the dog (its all about him)!!

Over to Barmouth, Hendre Mynach. End of the prom and a good walk into town, or even across the bridge to take you on to the mawdoch (spelling)trail, a lovely long walk on a nice day, or great bike ride, there is a pub along route, the George.
one Down side is there is a railway track alongside, however, it’s not intrusive. Dogs are allowed on beach By the site, just restricted on beach in town during main season.
