Despite seeing absolutely no sign of any migrants and dog patrols being carried out we were asked to leave as the car park is being closed at 10pm.

Perhaps it’s just too much of a liability having motorhomes in the car park after dark.

Anyway I thought I’d let folk know in case they’re heading that way.

A member of a facebook group reported that they too had been told to move yesterday (Sat eve).

It would help if they put signage up to tell folk that it’s not possible to stay overnight. We’d just had dinner and were putting our feet up when we had a knock on the door. We’re now at gravelines.

Were you in the Concorde near the eurotunnel fence? We drove past this afternoon. We were there on Friday and were asked to leave also. We went down to the Auchan car park in Boulogne and it is nice and quiet here. We drove up today to visit Cite Europe, but just came back down here. As we were leaving Cite Europe we emptied our waste tank at the garage dump point, after closing the waste tap and getting in the van someone tried to get in our back door, then casually walked away, how brazen was that!!

I always stop at Gravelines, not south but not too much of a diversion and just off the dual carriageway

The security guard who had been patrolling with his dog. There was also another guy with him who I believe was a Citi Europe employee. He was very polite and chatted about our border collie, who he thought was a very nice dog. He also wrote down an alternative stop but we just went back to where we’d come from.

My guess is that CitiEurope simply don’t want the hassle of migrants nosing around and so just close their gates... fair enough.

As others have said , not south, but 10 mins up the motorway , gravelines, well easy to get to, always room, easy walk into town , shops and bars , and from around the 16th of Dec , the best proper Xmas market we have ever found, local folks with proper stuff not your usual tat.
