Has anyone made a list of the guardian sites that are still available, eg Essaouira, which I really want to revisit, cos the only alternative when I was last there (apart from a couple of tiny spaces in town) was that sh*tty little site nearby which was akin to an open sewer, btw Ken canopus I’ve still got my Rasta hat (y)

Essaouira is no longer accommodating motorhomes! Not sure how that will pan out for 2020 but certainly no longer welcome when we went past this year.

That’s it blood, gimme some skin.
The more people smoke herb, the more Babylon fall.
Life is one big road with lots of signs,
So when you riding through the ruts,
Don't you complicate your mind
Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy
Don't bury your thoughts; put your vision to reality.

Park4night was showing up a couple of spots but now shows nothing at all. I think it's a no go area now.

Simon, me old fruit pastel. If your really keen to visit the city you could stop at CC74764 and get a taxi/bus in. It's 100MAD and 12 K away. Nearest place according to Camper Contact. That's another beer you owe me.

Looks ok, I guess we are going to be much more restricted to beach type places this time eh?

A lot of the wild camping spots are disappearing along the coast as much is changing to accommodate and promote tourism. However, there are some good Aires and half decent campsites around and the odd gem that is up to European standard
More wild camping as you come inland.

We are thinking of making it back to Mhamid. We liked it there for some reason as it really is the end of the road.
The Nomad Festival is on there 19 to 21 March.
Has anyone been and if so how busy were the campsites?

Might be more to look at !

So it’s looking like a better deal for me to cancel my comfort policy as they want £220 for a green card, I will lose about £25 on breakdown cover which is not refundable and £25 to cancel policy, with the whole of the unused premium amount being returned (5 months) then reinsuring with Saga!

It's a bit of a racket Simon. Our insurance is due for renewal next April and I will be looking at the costs of a Green Card with various insurance companies including Saga. It may well work out cheaper even if the policy is £150 more. A Tip for you Simon. Come off the Ferry at Tangier Med and get straight on the toll road, brim at shell station 10 minutes further on then leg it down to Sidi Ifni. A couple of days via the Toll road (Very scenic and great road to drive on) (Visit Marrakesh if you must on the way) Lots of decent Campsites on the very edge of the town next to the beach and the weather will be great. The restaurant across from the campsites, next to the beach (Nice views on the veranda), serves alcohol .

ARRANGED DISCOUNT FOR FERRY CROSSINGS TO MOROCCO FOR MHF MEMBERS

I've been in touch with Viages Normandie in Algeciras, AKA Carlos, and they have offered the following special price for MHF members;-

Open return ticket, Algeciras to Tangier Med - €180
Open return ticket Algeciras to Ceuta - €190

Price is for two persons per vehicle without trailer presenting themselves with V5 and CASH ONLY at their office in Algeciras (map below) quoting a special code, which I will make available to fully paid up members on 1 December. This is to (should) coincide with the publication of the next issue of MotorhomeFun Magazine. If you need it before then, please PM me.

They do not quote a "normal" price but I believe this amounts to a 10% discount, not a huge amount I know but still worth having. Incidentally I did a quick trawl of on-line prices and the best I could do was €308 - but no doubt it may be possible to get cheaper elsewhere.

Please respect their wishes in that this is for FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS OF MOTORHOMEFUN only. Do not pass this offer on to anyone else as it will be withdrawn if abused.

I did request that due to problems with Acciona last year we avoid that particular company. However they no longer appear to be operating as such, so tickets will be for whoever is offering the best deal on the day and at the discretion of Viages Normandie.

Please note there is (was) overnight parking available 150m from the office. Turn right out of the office, left at the end, parking is 30m on right. Do not use the Carrefour overspill car-park.

When I asked Comfort last year they quoted an amount per week subject to a maximum of 50% of the annual premium. This worked out correct for me, but having viewed the various posts I'm not sure they have been consistent in this with everybody. I've never been able to get a positive answer as to why a Green Card is so expensive.

Subject to circumstances I'll be calling them very shortly for my Morocco Green Card, plus one for Europe too. I'll report back then.

Changing to Saga at this stage for me would be financially stupid. However on renewal next year I'll be looking again.

I have moved to Saga this year to get the green card @£25. If you take the three year deal you have no commitment beyond the first year. I made sure on this matter.

Not long enough!
Foreign office advice is saying a 1968 int driving permit now required.
I tried speaking to underwriters to ask why so expensive and was told they go on foreign office advice.
According to that, their road safety record isn't very good.
