Dometic light bulb (1 Viewer)

Boring I know, but the bulb has gone on the fridge RM7601L and the problem is the only replacement I have found comes with all the housing at a cost of £40.00 plus.
I am not a tight sod but blimey I only want the little bulb:Sad:

Anybody got a clue where I might find one?

If you can get the bulb out then look on Ebay, if it aint on there then you are struggling.

Give my workshop a ring and pick their brains. Ian or Glenn, they should be able to tell you how to get it out.

Ours went and was replaced free by Brownhillls, however looking at the invoice the bulb was 18 quid just for the part so if it blows again I won't bother replacing it. :Blush:

It is a bog standard 240v/15watt SES Pygmy bulb according to that, should be available in any good hardware/elecytical shpop/.

Thanks Pappajohn, I am afraid I have had a senior moment and the fridge model is not as I quotedoh:, I will take another look and write it down this time. I took the bulb out easy enough it is the smallest bulb I have seen, one of those two pronged things but appears to be soldered at the ends onto the metal bit in a plastic holder which pushes into the fitting.

My fridge model is RM7851Loh: how did I get it that wrong.
I have looked on the site link but can not find the bulb it states in the fridge to be only 5amp. I think it is a capsule halogen bulb but it is the way it is fitted to the plastic holder that makes it look like one piece.

I am now looking for the same bulb, it's a 12V 2A capless that has the tails soldered to the contacts on the plastic carrier that fits in the light fitting. Someone must sell them.
