I went to our local Renault dealer to book my 3ltr master in for a service my motorhome has done 9000 miles and is on a 56 plate.

Wilst i was there the mechanic came into the reception and told me that after four years the brake fluid and all the belts would need replacing.

Is this the norm or am i being ripped of.

These are age related service items , four years for both items is normal ..

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, moisture can cause corrosion and potential brake failure if the moisture boils in the slave cylinder, steam is not a good hydraulic fluid .

Belts deteriorate with age.. they could be over five years old.

Check owners service manual for confirmation.

Brake fluid should be renewed every two years regardless of mileage. The cambelt on age if you do not do the mileage.
