control panel...add/remove programs.....find the offending program and click remove.

then download CCleaner or comodo registry cleaner to mop up the last bits.

the other way is to go into the 'C' drive, program files and search for it there then search the file for 'uninstall' then click to remove it then go back to the last paragraph.

i dont suppose its Norton internet security by any chance ?

does the program have a desktop icon ?

if so right click it and scroll to properties.....click on 'find target' and it will take you there.

then look if it has an 'uninstall' or 'uninst' option

Even blocking AVG out

Place laptop in large container wrapped in a duvet.

Pour in approximately 4.5 litres of good quality paraffin. If no paraffin available use best grade diesel.

From a safe distance throw in a lighted match.

You are now safe from all software problems.

John, install malwarebytes its free. Let it scan your PC, this will get rid of it. Then purcha$e the paid for version on Malwarebytes. This will give you real time protection as you surf. It is designed to work alongside your regular anti virus programmes and it works like a dream. Its genuinley saves my PC from trojans a couple of times a week. Its worth 10 times what you will pay for it. :thumb:

John, its less than £20 here http://www.malwarebytes.org/

But download the free program first, it works just the same as the paid version, except once you are clean the paid for works in real time and does exceptionally well in seeing that you won't get caught again. :thumb:

I've been using Malwarebytes for a year or more and it certainly does what it says on the tin, it finds and removes stuff that Norton and Spybot never find.
