I’ve never opened it lol but I’ll check! I’d have seen and heard it dumping as I filled though and there wasn’t a huge pool of water ?

Hmmm mystery deepens
There was a little drip of hot water under the van.... I released and then put back the ‘opening valve’ in the underfloor tiny cupboard and the under seat space with heater in

I’ve now turned the hot water off and it’s stopped

I’ll test a refill at home and see what I learn ?

Sounds like auto-dump valve has activated , located under hatch in floor as you say between kitchen and washroom

Feel down side of valve and ensure button ( on the body of valve on kitchen side) is pressed in and stays in

When you fill cold tank, you have to draw water through hot system ( ie fill the tank inside the boiler)
Pump on, open hot tap, it takes up to a minute to draw the water through, which will of course be still cold.
Worth shrouding the tap with a flannel or something to avoid huge splashes as the air bleeds out
PM me ifyou get no joy

@Cheshirecat57 it’s worked! As you predicted the button was not set correctly.... I’ve managed to draw water hooray...

A learning curve indeed

So next question which is rather basic ... how then do I empty the grey water on my Twin ? There’s a great level off side with an double arrow sign ; pointing at the front and rear of the vehicle ?

I’d love someone to make some handy videos... we had great support from someone doing this when I had a vw California ....

Tips to do things ie wind awning out, empty water system etc

Ours has a grab handle below the sill on the nearside of the vehicle under the dinette seat, washroom area
The pipe exit is about a foot aft of that

Turn handle through 90 degrees anti-clock and our tank empties

Sadly no... they talked it through and pointed a few things out but a lot goes out of my head.. it was a bit information over load.

I was very keen the grasp the control panel and focussed on retaining that ! :)

Currently in Spain putting our SLB through its paces. Very impressed so far, very comfortable and apart from a drip on the basin - easily tightened by hand, there have been no issues. Love it!

OK. Thanks for the precious answer to my "What is this?" Now for another please.
Anyone know what these 2 'knobs' are for. Do they remove a hatch or something to access under van, not tried it in case they are holding something in place.
They are on the floor of the 'step box' between the 2 beds. Sorry photos aren't good. Thanks again.

Any ideas?!? I guess the easy way is just to try and undo them or even simpler phone the dealer but thought someone might have a clue.
Busy putting our “stuff” in van. So far more storage than I thought especially in boot area but I’m well into filling all the gaps!!

The plot thickens then! Would have said “just lucky I guess” but in fact I could do without them being there as need the depth without them in the way for a specific box!

Never thought of just stored there?! Will try & phone dealer tomorrow as need to know. We have the third bed option but all bits are being stored away as we don't intend using them but were advised to have it as good for resale?

Ours doesn't have them !!
Just to prove I am not paying attention to my purchase, my other half tells me that we DO have these in ours:ROFLMAO:

Her theory is that this is the way to remove the step unit completely to give a load-through facility (kayak? skis?) but the unit has to be secured because you stand on it

Thoughts?

Definitely not the 3rd bed
That goes together as a series of balancing and slotting........a degree in quantum physics helps in the assembly:D
I doubt we will ever use ours

Update
Checked today
These are Bolts not Nuts so screw into captive threads in floor
Removing them removes the entire step-box AND the Hab-to-Garage bulkhead thingy
She will get her “prize” later:p

Hi @Madmag
Great to meet IRL at CMC site at Meathop Fell ( great site BTW, we will be re-visiting that one)

Wish you both well in all the adventures to come

Great to see the “fettles” already done to the Twin, we will be copying the waste bin one

Cheers

Yes, putting faces to names is always great. Small world though!! Have an ongoing list of things needed and to do after this first run out. Let me know if you need help sourcing bin and I will send you link. Lots of them available but at vastly variable cost. Mine was £7.99 from Amazon but seen them less from China and more elsewhere. Still raining here!

We're currently trying to figure out a good bin solution so any photos or links would be appreciated!

I also await in anticipation ! My Ikea bit is ok but can be moved from bathroom in the day to by the side door to between seats position. It’s sometimes in the way a bit really

@Alfie159 Ours is very similar to yours but less bulky. Can be stored in the slot where it sits if not in use but we have found no trouble with it travelling there. We don't overfill the bags, just use cheapo ones and bin them. The idea was to keep it small enough that you are not tempted to overfill so it smells in hot weather. Will upload pics now but may take a little longer to sort link out. As I said, widely available at widely differing price for same thing.
