I'm a man of limited wealth and taste!.............

Greetings.

On Monday I pick up a new Kontiki669!! Having planned a Monoco type RV for some years my wife and I have finally decided on a Swift.

One early question to the panel:

Is there a source for sites which favour the larger/longer mobile home? I'm thinking of a list of sites which do not have tight hairpin bends or Cornish one track high hedges and do not sniff at 9m campervans.

thanks in advance

Ah, that explains the Swift. Had you not been so inflicted you would have bought a Burstner.

Thanks Brian, just about to go and that has really tickled me :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

so rude, but so funny, but hold on,,,, so Hilldweller.

For refunds the man can email Jim directly :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Takes skill that, I'll have thee know.

If folk want their egos massaged in a politically correct way they can go to The Dark Side and watch their brains turn to stone.

If they want FUN, well we'll give 'em FUN. 100% Full Fat FUN. Organic FUN. Completely free from E numbers FUN. Just like it says on the tin.

of course, only a fool would buy a campervan before checking if it fits on the drive

Monday WILL be fun - I'll let y'all know!

Well the good news is the Kontiki DOES fit through the gates an into the drive ::bigsmile:

It drives very well and was not put off by fair winds over the severn bridge.

'nother question:

There is a button on the dash by the (auto) gear lever - it looks like a truck with a weight over the rear wheels and an indication of an angle. Anyone know what it does?

The truck objected to being slowly backed up the drive and said "clutch" {? as it automatic} and certainly smelt a bit clutchy for a while. I've no choice but to go slow as I had a bout 2cm either side:whatthe:

cheers
