Does anyone have any experience of a Black and Decker Dustbuster pivot head vac?

We were thinking of getting one for the van as the rechargeable ones only last about ten minutes or so so are not much use unless you are on a hook up.

Would be used mainly on holiday's I guess when we stay on aires near the beach, and the sand does seem to get in the carpets no matter how hard we try to not let it.

Of course it doesn't help that swmbo does not seem able to be able to walk without the aid of shoes.

Any advice recommendations greatly appreciated.

I've just ordered one from Amazon. I'll give it a try as soon as it arrives then I'll post a review

We got our from Morrisons petrol station £4.99 plugs into 12v outlet
works a treat
You may have to wait untill they come on offer again but worth the wait if you don,t need one before next year

We have a GTECH that we got from Robert Dyas but not used it yet and a VAX SLIDEE that is brilliant. We charge both via an inverter when we are away!

Thanks but it isn't a rechargeable we are after - some of them have mixed reviews as well though LOL - we don't have an inverter so rechargeable isn't really an option we are considering as we are rarely on hook-up and whilst SWMBO does not actually wish to spend more than 10 mins vacuuming, ever, with the amount of crusty breadcrumbs we engender and the sand, sadly 10 mins would not last us for 3 weeks (or more) LOL

Jezport, can you tell us which model it is please?

There seems to be very little info on the boxes for the ones we've actually seen in the shops.

Ta!

This is my vac except mine has a powered brush head, and I can say that it works nearly as well as a 240v model

Hmm. In France you would be knee-deep in baguette crumbs after a fortnight!!!
