Idea is, Loch Tay, Loch Ness, Fort William then Jedburgh on the way home. Each one for a week maybe. Any comments? Timetable is flexible.

Might even stop off at Tesco in Glasgow and warn them about Hilda.

Now where's the fun in that ?

Tesco can take a big hit, let nature take it's course.

>> Idea is, Loch Tay, Loch Ness, Fort William

You'll be needing your willie warmer then.

Sounds good to me, will be somewhere in that area myself.

We don't make any plans and take what direction appeals at the time.

Enjoy yourselves, and expect any weather, you can get from sun to snow depending on luck.

Yes please Gerry as we are relaxed about timetable and may stay longer if we are enjoying ourselves. :thumb:

Hi Just nip out to the van its called Noahs ark has a website and has loads of reviews on ukcampsites. The wardens and owners where first class our ehu tripped and they had to call a sparky so they gave us a free night for the hassle. It is also just five mins from the A9 and a 2 min walk to bus stop.

We are just back from 2 weeks in Scotland fantastic down side was a site in Fort Augustus the one we usually use has closed down the alternitive site was very poor £19.00 per night the worst thing was the chemical waste it was a open drain on the main road into the park kids were riding bikes all over it when you were out walking you had to go on the grass to avoid it one night and we were of we toured all the way up the east and down the west we were very pleased with the nevis site large pitches and friendly staff and yes i climbed Ben Nevis

I think that changeable weather is half the fun of Scotland in October, a few years ago on C&CC site at Tarland woke up to one of the hardest frosts I have ever seen looked fantastic, went to the old C&CC site at Barns Ness (now gone) and sat that evening in glorious sunshine looking at the lighthouse.

Next morning left in light rain which changed to a near blizzard and arrived at Lauder C&CC site to find 6ins of snow, ( dogs loved it ) next morning drove through to Moffet not a trace of snow there all vanished as we crossed border into Galloway.

Just an idea of what you can expect
