the system works fine but ineed to puta water container on a small step as the pump submersable will not reach if water container left on floor surely you dont need to lift water higher seems abad idea

Yes, we have the same problem - obviously depends on how high up your filler is! :Eeek:
However, we only use the submersible for adding water treatment etc. Normal water filling is done with a Whale flat blue hose which has the adaptor block on one end. Ours came with the van but I think they're quite pricey! :Sad:

Is this what you have got, sorry do not know the hose length.

We have one similar & the length is just the right distance from the filler to the ground. :thumb:

Seems to me the motor home manufactures should make sure it's long enough to reach the filler fitted to the motor home with the water container on the floor.

It's not rocket science is it? :Doh: Just another item they don't bother to think about when designing it.
