Hi Guys.

I have a 7.2 litre Dodge RV that used to tow a race car.

We really need to tow a vehicle as alternative transport.

Trouble is we have 3 kids and one of the motors is a people carrier.

Have any of you experience in towing or trailering larger vehicles?

What route should I be looking at.

Had a Smart but too small.

Hi Steve. Weight may be an issue. Check the hitch max load, as well as the difference between max train weight and max auth mass (forgotten the us terms for these, sorry). We occasionally tow Anne's Wrangler, and it's only just ok for weight, if not slightly over, when on an A-frame. Tows a treat thought, no prob. with performance of course. Still don't really know it's there.

Good luck

Hi Des.

Will check those out.

I assume if not using a trailer, hitch nose weight is negligible.

They used to tow a Mustang so I'm told.

Would I be better buying a smaller vehicle?

The first one probably worth the most:winky:

If you go for number 3 get one with a jockey wheel makes life a LOT easier:winky:

The reason for this is you cant see the car but you can jump out unhitch and manouver the vehicle wherever you wish in under a minute:winky:

One year £850 fitted:cry:

you can buy the kits from other suppliers

Is that about average?

£850 seems a bit steep but I suppose you pay for what u get eh?

Is it possible to fit yourself?

Does that include the car.Link Removed
