Great bike for the motorhome. (1 Viewer)

Up for sale is Mrs bigtree’s Ktm Duke 690, a great light bike for taking in or on the back of your motorhome, weighs 150kg. Looking for £3800, FSH , around 11,000 miles. It’s a 2012 model, just serviced and a new rear tyre with about 50 miles use. Contact me if you want any more info.

It can be ridden either, not as ride it like you stole it Superduke 990. I should say it has all the toys and I haven’t topped out with it yet, so many rider modes at the press of a button.

Wish i was still under 30 do like the less tame bikes but at my age now need to go slower tried harley but too slow went back to a carburated R1 sold it bought the ktm can just touch floor but it gives the adrenalin buzz wish i could get a decent tdr for reasonable money as i had 1 and sold it

The SD was probably getting too much for me as I think my legs have shrunk along with my muscles,I’m 63 next month. The 790 is a dream to ride,so is the 690.

Only slightly older then i'm 60 but not sure on make and model but i think im still fit for age stocky anyway plod said that 950 sm is a big boys toy and i am short in leg but i like adrenalin buzz used to do serious diving and had and a lots of bikes that is are not tame bet you wish i offered a kawasaki 750 triple H2 i think 500 is the same reputation but there you go

Yes I had selfish parents too, best part about it my dad had a Norton 500

I tour with a local Honda dealer and always get the piss taken ‘cos I ride a Ducati!

Traded my rd250 for a dt 400 excellent fun bike lacked top end been stuck between grin factor and sensible ever since tdr 250 was a lot faster and crossed over well compared to my 950sm but both have serious fun factor and power

Also capable of touring, mind you finished a tyre off in 2 weeks going round Europe.
Also had a RD250, nice civilised 2 stroke.
Then a Suzuki T500, same frame size as a 250, surprised many people when it left the lights or racing down the motorways.
Like the old British so got a BSA A50 still in the back of the garage and a once new T140ES last of the Meridan bikes.

KTM Duke 790 is the best bike I have ever thrown a leg over John.

My wife bought a 600 Hornet and sold it 3 years later to a dealer for £50 less than she paid for it,rode it all year. Excellent bike, one tiny spot of rust on the horn. Should have kept that one.
