Well looking at the parcel vans that they offer with a range of 50-60 miles they still have a bit of a way to go and then campsites and aires/stelplatz will have to get onboard with charging points.

Make a form of propulsion economically attractive through taxation (in the french case diesel 15 odd years ago) research piles in until France leads the world in diesel technology.
Then ten years plus later when the ordinary people are used to it and relying upon it slam it with taxes !!!!

Couple of batteries and an old starter motor and I reckon you could get a few more years out of yours yet.

You have to remember that electric vehicle development started in around 1905 and the range has not changed much.

According to that article it has a range of 200km/102 miles, what does that translate to in the real world 60-70 miles?

How easy is it going to be to connect to a charging point, plenty in carparks and supermarkets across Europe I doubt if you will get a Motorhome into a lot of them.

Will your breakdown insurance transport you to the next charging point, may need them several times a week.

How much extra time will you need to do a typical European trip of 3500 miles?

I can't see them being viable until they have a range of 300m/500km, but with current battery technology it will probably take a couple of days to charge.
I think we are still at least 5 years away from getting one that is suitable for short trips.

My first job at 8 years old was a milkman’s lad and used to ride in one of those.
Had to say I was his nephew if ever we were asked due to laws .
Still remember to this day how he drummed it into me to throw the bottles away from you if you ever tripped or fell , my first H&S lesson .

When going to a faraway destination we do an average of 350 miles a day.. and I know full well we are not the only ones
Start out about out 9ish, stop for lunch around 1, then go on till about 6ish
All a limited range van will do is ensure our our driving time is longer.... as the time we have away is still gonna stay the same

Even with current battery technology a 100kwh battery will give 280 real world range ( as in a Tesla) with supercharging to 80% in 30 to 40 mins ,so with the amount of space in a Motorhome has under the floor area a 200kwh or more is possible so easily 500 miles plus, And given that most of use drive sensibly this is easily possible.
Just need the charging network that is coming ( it has to )

Blummin eck, the national grid gets palpitations when people put the kettle on at half time of a big match or in the adverts in Corrie!!
The cost will be prohibitive to the average Joe, and until they bring costs in line with Diesel engine and put a full charge in the batteries in the time it takes to fill the tank it will be a no goer.
The only positive thing about electrification is that it will bring the Middle East down a peg or two!

IMHO what you need is the infrastructure to generate the electricity that is then distributed via the charging points.

A charging point with no power is like a pub with no beer.
