It was an Italian Aermacchi engine. Most Aermacchis had a single cylinder horizontal engine. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and when fitted into an original Italian frame was very good looking.

I'd definitely pay £2500 for that.
I'd want that much to take it away.
As TwoOfUs said... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....
Well, I must have two glass eyes, it looked fractionally better in the other frame.

Neither did Briget Bardot but I could have made an offer for her too. ( Similar age to bike ).

Who is Bridget Bardot? :)

Still miss my old tiger cub.

In 1964 Honda named their 90cc motorbike the C200 because it was much faster than the 200cc tiger cub!

Harley Davidson bought the aermacchi company in the early sixties, they then re-badged the aermacchi's as HDs

Later the Aemacchi factory produced 2 strokes, also badged as HDs

John Hartle & Renzo Pasolini raced them with some success in the late '50s / early '60s. I remember seeing and hearing them on track.

There used to be a aeramacchi Harley Davidson dealer in Southampton at the old millbrook railway station, I stopped there often to droll over the bikes ( Brit and jap stuff too ) not that I could have afforded any. Lawton and Wilson ltd

The only ladder where you start at the bottom and then climb downwards

If it’s a Harley branded ladder it will break every two rungs.

For me, there is only one Harley I would consider owning. The late, great, Cal Raybon's iron barrelled race bike

I had the privilege of watching him race in the early seventees
