tyre wear (1 Viewer)

We noticed our passenger side front wheel is wearing at the outside edge, drivers side ok. this is after about 8000 miles.
Went to a tyre depot and they said ahhh seen that before apparently is common on Mercedes motorhomes...
I replied it`s just a sprinter van with a conversion are you saying that all sprinter vans suffer from this, no answer was the reply.

Can anyone shed any light on this dilema.

Could be tracking out ...

Does it pull to the left , have you ever kerbed it ?

Did you not ask them to check tracking / steering geometry wheel balance ? Something is a-miss. Get it checked unless you can afford new tyres :thumb: No use saying they all do it because they don't :thumb: or at least they are not meant to

If its wearing on one edge its castor / camber kpi (king in inclination these days Ball joint)
if the tracking was out it would show on both front tyres

My thoughts are very much down the same road, i`m thinking the lower ball joint is on it`s way out, having a major service next Friday will get them to check the ball joints.

this is really simple.....top or bottom ball joint or Track rod end
