Motorhome being repaired - leaks in roof! (1 Viewer)

Hi folks

Here is an entry from our family blog with pics of our motorhome being repaired. There were a few leaks in the roof which was pretty rotten. The repairers said it just about fell apart.

It's going to cost around 5k, M-reg.
We debated long and hard, decided that if we sold it we would get just about nothing.
Also, we've put so much into it and it's nearly perfect for us. Mechanically it's in very good shape.

In total, about five weeks. Should be complete at the end of July.

OMG that looks like a huge job.
I'm sure it will be worth it once its done . It looks very scary though .
If its finished for the end of July you will still get some summer use out of it , cos it looks like we are actually having a summer this year:Cool:

Thats a huge Job, but looks like its being well done. Having carried out only a small repair before I am well aware of the mess it causes. Most damp repairs tend to be more labour orientated.
I think if you are/were happy with the layout etc then spending the cash was probably the best idea. It would of cost you way more than 5k to change it.

Cant wait to see some more great photos of when its completed.:thumb:

We've had the same problem a couple of times:

It's not really as scary as it seems.
A bit of sealant and a sheet of ply and you're off!

And then it's twice as quick when the next leak appears :thumb:
