We ran in an orienteering competition in Monsanto. It was "interesting" to say the least, made more difficult by greasy cobbles in drizzly rain.

Took me a little while to work out that "beautiful Sepia" wasn't a place in Portugal

By the time we got ourselves out of the van it was starting to get dark, had a quick wander around the town.

Only one photo tonight, the town square in all its glory. :ROFLMAO:

I shouldn't worry too much about a chip, I had a crack shaped like a hockey stick about 10 inches (250mm) long down one side of the aviano I had,, passed mot no problem

It's in the driver's line of site, about a ⅓ of the way up in centre of the left hand side of the screen. Not too bothered as doesn't need not until 2020.

At Casteljaloux in France now, nice little free Aire only 4 places.
Also much warmer in France, Portal was bl**dy freezing.

In France so behaving like the French, parked sat dish up TV on, too far south west for Astra 2, so will have to suffer F1 with German commentary yet again.

Windscreen chip last year almost in centre of screen phoned insurance they were concerned in case it developed into a crack they contacted Autoglass who promptly phoned me arranging a house visit to repair it next day. Nice repair looks like a squidged faint insect strike and no affect on insurance premium come renewal this year.

Autoglass did a chip on my car awful job, last one on the van I did myself far better job.:)

I'll have measure it see if it's an MOT failure if so I will repair it and leave until MOT due before getting a replacement.

Are you sure an attempted repair by you won’t affect insurance?

A class windscreens are expensive as you know and I wouldn’t want to give insurers an escape route.

Any problems I'll just tell them it was an emergency repair while abroad, Autoglass won't say anything they will want the business.

Autoglass wouldn’t repair first chip because 2 chips to close, did it myself with Simply Windscreen Repair kit you struggled to see it.
Next chip got Autoglass in again they repaired that still looked like a bullseye.

I must admit your windscreen repair ki is very good Mr.P.

As we only live 3 miles apart probably got the same useless Autoglass man.
One of my neighbors used to do windscreen repairs he did one of my car's, you needed a magnifying glass to find it, brilliant job shame he doesn't do it anymore.

Please tell me that you really did't enjoy that !!!!
So, what did you do after the second one? Did you reverse all the way back down the hill :(, or did you find a way through? :)

Well it honed up my reversing skills.:)

I could put up another video but didn't want to bore you. Reversed another 100yds maybe a bit more and there was a tiny carpark just before the bend, the spaces were separated by kerbs only space for about 12 cars now manovering in there was fun.:)
You can just see it on the right as I go round the bend going up the hill.

P.S. Do you fancy joing us on one of our trips?

We've been up some pretty narrow roads but I can't say I enjoy it.
It certainly puts the stress levels up and I gave up stress when I retired.
Just want a relaxing life when we are away in the van so I try to keep away from situations like that.

Richard.

Fascinating to watch, rather you than me though, by the way, you dodged a bullet by turning back north, my mate in Portugal said they had what seemed like 12" (300mm) of rain on Sunday!

We're hoping to go to Morocco this winter. Graham's already promising me that there should be plenty of exciting driving there . I suspect part of it will be done with my eyes closed (and him driving).:)
