This has to be the worlds worst pc fault ever:Eeek:
When trying to type in the Forum, Word or my Garage invoice program the e_mail program opens at every other key stroke
Of course when your typing your not looking at the screen so when you have done and do look up all you have is the first letter or two and your mail program is open

Close the email program type another letter or two and bang it opens again Any one know whats happening
It opened about 40-50 times just typing this:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Try the usual, shut down count to ten and start again, full shut down, not a restart.

Failing that,

4lb lump hammer :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sorry, coat on.......

Check your keyboard Geo, you might be invoking a shortcut if you have crud on the alt or Ctrl keys, does it happen after a reboot? Do you have another keyboard you could try?

I agree sounds like a sticky key. Check you havent got a pen or something resting on a key. Press every key to make sure it bounces back, try another keyboard.

Glad you got it sorted i couldnt have helped but it reminded me of a prank at work once.
When we do something on pc we have to put in a password all start with the letter of your shift A,B,C,D, and E followed by your password well we changed the letter on the keyboard and no ones password worked they call our computer section and it took them a couple of hours to notice the problem:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Don't, :ROFLMAO:, we had to rebuild a server once because the manufacturers password wouldn't work no matter how we entered.

4, yes, 4 hours later having got it working we discovered, the origional builder used an American keyboard:Doh:

PS Before anyone thinks expert, no, I work in telecoms and the servers we get are ready built so we just add our bit.

Regretfully, though this is a commendable idea, UK law prohibits us from assisting in your suicide.

Naturally we wish you well in all your endeavours and I'm sure there will be many who will come and console Pammy at your funeral, even if she does not need consolation. I'm sure Jim will contribute a fun flag to drape over your coffin.

PS. Can you leave me a good torque wrench in your will.

Isn't it marvellous. The richest man in the world got rich by selling us kit which just stops working when it feels like it, and all we can do to get it going again is to turn it off and turn it back on again! Damn, why couldn't I come up with an idea like that?!

My favourite prank was this -

  1. Create a new folder called 'Do not Open' on the desktop
  2. Take a screenshot of the desktop using the 'Print Screen' button
  3. Paste it into Paint, erase the mouse if it's visible and then save the image.
  4. Move all the desktop icons into the new folder that you created
  5. Set the Background Image as the saved image of the desktop
  6. Hide

Which is one reason why I use Linux (sorry off topic but had to get that one in).
