I think Toby is a good name and for the reason you say (the v does look like a u) and also the question in your mind was “to be or not to be”

I like your reasoning @Trixie :). I'm going for Toby, too. It's a friendly name. (Got to admit, I'd never give a van a name, though ;)) It may be different in this case, as it's going to be such a famous celebrity van.

All vehicles need names
In my family even the tv remote had a name

I have been caravanning for 32 years but in 2014 I have"gone over to the dark side"
How about Hugh or Hughie the Hymer!

Then Tam you could call it "Wee Shuggie" as it's smaller than Franky!! :D2

Probably a bit premature naming it , as it will depend on how a good a buy it turns out to be as to what it gets called

Rommel - end of...

1. named after one of the Hymer founders
2. named after Erwin Rommel - its built like a tank (well, ones of this date are )

item 2. is also a good conversation starter for the Germans you will come across.

A bit like our dog! when he was a cute little pup, we named him Jay :). As he grew older, and his true personality began to shine through, my husband started to call him 'Nobby', and that's what stuck ever since. Wouldn't change him for the world, though.(y)

I’d leave the naming for a while as you may be calling it lots of things in the next few weeks.....:D2

Nearly at Preston...trains running late so I'm gonna have 3 minutes to get from platform 4 to platform 6 for my train to Manchester

I hate trains
Every trip I do is stress central

Motorhomes are expensive to get and run, will let you down and you will want to change at sometime, so it has to be female.....

Surely all vehicles, like aircraft (particularly old aircraft) have to be female.
Moody, expensive, awkward at times and have 'a touch of the vapours' at the most inconvenient times, but when in the mood wonderful.
Definitely have to be female. :D

Richard.
