Any suggestions/ options for PVC 3500kg

NEW/DEMO ONLY
FIXED TWIN BEDS ONLY
4 BELTS
STORAGE?

Not fussed about “bling” so
Any brand but Sun Living instead of Adria
Weinsberg instead of Knaus
Etc etc, you get the idea?

Lead by Value, not price, but transaction price needs to be sub 48k

Broken Link Removed - might be within your price target if importing is an option :)
We are going for the cheaper 6m Special Edition option with rear transverse double bed Broken Link Removed but would love the 640 if our budget allowed this.

Take a look at the Swift Autocruise range. They offer a dinette up front (bench with 2 seatbelts which also makes a third bed) as well as a rear living/sleeping area.

Globecar Campscout
The Globecar Campscout would fit your spec. perfectly, but I doubt you'd find one at that price brand new / ex demo.

There is however a Campscout Revolution being advertised on the Globecar Facebook Group - advertised at £48k and less than a year old. I think it has a fixed double rather than the Campscout which has the option of splitting it into two twins. Might be worth a look though?

We have a Rapid V68 with the exact layout you are seeking.

However, the budget sister brand - built on the same production line, in the same factory - Dreamer Fun - has the identical layout available for 2019!

And it comes with the same 135 litre 3-way fridge too (slightly unusual in a pvc).

Dreamer Fun brand is well worth a look. They are of a generally high build quality with good design. They even come with the tag line 'by Rapido' or something like that on the new logo for next year's models.

We've had our van just over 2 years from new and very happy with it, but would certainly consider the Dreamer version now.

I'm off to Newark tomorrow to have surgery on my Truma boiler so I'll check the PVCs out while I'm down there and report back.

All the best,

Andrew

That is the base price of the smallest model also need to add £10 -£15k of extras to get to a decent spec. Even buying in Germany you will be hard pushed to get much under £60k.

I never noticed how much of the van is an extra cost option. :(

Another recommendation for a Dreamer D68 in Fun Spec. The pricelist I brought back from the Dusseldorf show has the D68 Fun at €45,100 and the van pack at €850. This gives you a basic, useable van with heating, hot/cold water etc, but without any extras like a reversing camera or alloys/ metallic paint etc.

I really like that Summit 640 which you've posted up. Do you have any idea on the MY19 list prices.(y)

Don't know yet but should be able to get a German price list soon & will post details :) Only problem is waiting time & how Brexit will affect things for importing & supply for buying in the UK.

Lenny, yes got my new Swift Coachbuilt in June

Watch out for a separate post regarding the Swift, but at this stage just doing the initial “mooching” thinking that worst-case scenario if i had to order one it would be summer ‘19 arrival when the Swift would be a year old
Not 100% convinced that PVC is ok for us, but getting there and plann8ng incase my hand is forced on the 3500kg thing ( nuff said)

Yes I agree. Hope they bring one to NEC
Only thing that puts me off Dreamer is lack of dealers in blighty, but if I was “brave” enough to import anything, UK dealer apathy will apply anyway

Dreamer is a Rapido sub brand - the D68 is pretty much identical to the Rapido V68, so the Rapido dealer network should support it.

I will ask that of my friends at Spinney (Rapido dealers) and report my findings

I noticed two pre-reg Carthago Malibu for sale at the Shepton Show for 50k. No idea what, if any extras fitted.
Both rear doubles and both had very small fridges unfortunately .
Imo, they stood out as the best built/best value vans at the show (not just PVC either)…

Looking on eBay, Southdown appear to have a well spec'd twin single for circa £55k

I've only seen two vans that apply to your spec:

Globecar Campscout at SMC (This one is sold):

I can vouch for the build quality of the Carthago PVC's if they are anywhere near as good as their coachbuilts they will have strong cabinets, and be very quiet when travelling. The Winterisation should be as good as it gets in a PVC also. I like the way the WC sink bowl folds out the way, and I think the WC pushes in a hole out the way for showering, but need to check this out.Shame none of the PVC's offer of a double floor as this makes the inside floor level from to back and provides so much useful storage and underfloor heating which protects pipework & tanks up in the Alps and alike, maybe even The Cairngorms in winter:D Correct me if I am wrong on all PVC's though.

As promised, found this link on you tube, being American they are as usual well over the top, but both interesting and amusing at the same time, so grab a brew and biscuit or three and enjoy.
There are some very useful accessories in some of the vans, an eye opener maybe, watch the countdown & wait until you see the number 1, a variation of which will be available we are told in The UK, next year:)(y)(y)(y)

Cheers happy hunting.

Clever vans instead of Globecar
You would need to import yourself though
No idea if there are any plans to market in UK
Only spotted one over last couple of weeks in Germany
Loads of Globecar and Posels though
