Hi everyone,

In our Knaus Sun Ti motorhome we have a Dometic RM7295L fridge.

On 12v it works wonderful.
On gas it works wonderful.

Now when we hook it up to mains electricity it doesn't work well.
The fridge doesn't get cold and the freezer thaws out.

Now I have been told to look for fuses, main plugs etc.
Can't find any anywhere for the fridge.
All the main cabling for the fridge runs into electrical connector blocks.

So does anyone have any ideas why the fridge is wonderful on 12v and gas, but not on mains and if anyone has any ideas we would be very grateful.

I have left a message with a dometic engineer, but haven't had any reply yet.

Many thanks to anyone who answers our post

Try emailing Dometic direct through their contact page, We had a problem and they replied in 24 hrs.

Could not help directly but gave us a lot of info , but knew a man who did !

My fridge has a 240v cut off switch in the wardrobe. This doesn't affect 12v. It certainly caught me out the 1st time I tried it on mains.

I have tried resetting all the cut off switches and it hasn't made any difference.

Trouble is on mains, the fridge works but it gets warm and doesn't get as cold as ice as it does on 12v or gas :whatthe:

If it is actually 'working' possibly the 240v heater element is faulty, your welcome to ring Glenn our workshop manger and pick his brains or even bring the van into us but please phone first.

Good luck

Not unusual. It must piss Jim off.
