Does any one know if we can leave our fridge on during the crossing to spain......if this is not allowed, is there a good supermarket near by on the other side? Trogg:Doh:

err do you want a flat battery if it doesnt have auto cut off on ignition? as you are not allowed to have gas on. Get some freezer blocks from the likes of asda and freeze them, you can also freeze milk pack the fridge well and use ice blocks and milk, keep them in freezer till you are parked up then transfer them to the fridge they will keep the fridge cold as long as you had it up to temp on the way to ferry its only overnight and part way through the day and the car decks are cool
Dont forget to pack yourselves an overnight bag and include drinks, snacks etc. We always take a small travelling elec kettle and coffee, tea, sugar and milk and mugs with a continental adapter that way we can have a drink when we get up in comfort without having to wait for breakfast time plus any other time we want a drink (on board it was about £4.00 for a coffee and i like lots of coffee), we also take a small dvd player and a couple of films to watch and remember to turn your mobile off whilst at sea as any calls texts it receives are very expensive as we found out last time

Hi

Nobody would know one way or the other whether you do or not. I'm assuming you run on gas, as this is a two night crossing you would have a flat batttery if you try to use leccy.

The ferry port at Bilbao isn't near the main city centre which is just as well cos the place is a nightmare.

Depending upon what time you disembark the traffic is very heavy around the port and so you would be better to get away a bit before looking to stop and shop.
