The true cost would be infrastructure and public services somewhat worse than we have now.

Venezuela isn't the sort of place to be if you want such things as, for example, regular electricity supplies etc.

Despite the low cost of fuel, whole cities are on rota'd supply.

Soooo.. Looking at the info, I can only presume we ( as in the UK Grab.. Sorry.. Government ) have the same ability to maintain a stable fiscal environment as a couple of third world banana states !!!

shan't be going to norway anytime soon
when I first lived in france 20 years ago , diesel was exactly half the prices of cheap petrol , same in spain

now in spain it is the same price for both , and in france diesel is up to 80% and rising

going to be the same everywhere soon , the days of cheap diesel are past , how long before it costs 50% more than petrol

Last November diesel was 60cents a litre in Andorra (tax haven).

You will be even more surprised if you click on the country.....many prices were taken three or four years back so are well out of date!

Anguilla is cheaper than Venezuela at €0,09 though only appears to sell petrol. But as a British Island in the Caribbean at just 16 miles long, you won't be doing much touring there! One thing for sure though.....it's a damn sight safer than Venezuela!
