Canterbury P&R

If it's a pint and a bite to eat you're after, then the Judge's recommendation is spot on. Canterbury New Dover Road P&R has a most excellent pub next to it's entrance. Good food, well kept beer, friendly staff and only 2 minutes walk from your parking spot but distant enough for bank holiday pub car park noise not to be an issue. If you like cricket and there's some on, then it's only a few minutes walk from Kent County cricket ground.

It's a must for us when travelling either to or from the continent. I know the idea of a P&R doesn't exactly inspire but the reality is much more agreeable.

Worth a look, only £2.50 and on the east end of the city for an escape handily onto the A2 for Dover/Folkestone.

sorry for the delay i forgot.

the food was first class as was the welcome the landlord is a great guy.

as stated if you use the restaurant its free hook up is available if needed.

a very nice quiet location yet only 10 minutes from the tunnel.

one thing its a bit tight on the lanes in, but no problem as its a very quiet area with plenty of passing places.

i will be using them again.

stopover

we usually use blackhorse farm caravan club site ferry pitches which cost us about £20 for the three of us but you have to be a member and have to book
you have to arrive before 8.pm if going on tunnel it is very handy and a five to ten minute drive to the tunnel but you can leave as early as you want
get up about 6am and you find most people have gone
