apologies for what may be obvious to everyone else but what do you mean by Holiday Trim?

Payload 310kgs in Holiday trim (Water/Fuel/Clothes/Food/Passenger plus Driver)

does this mean the above is already included and therefore there may be ample scope for loading a scooter, or does it mean the 310 is the total allowance and must accommodate the above?

That's correct - we loaded the van with everything in the brackets and weighed the van - there was 310kgs spare capacity - with the rear axle able to take it as it is rated at 2200kgs and when weighed was 1850kgs.

That's right, we bought the Van but have found that after 15 years of living in a bungalow our joints don't do the stairs up and down to and from the beds so we are reluctantly changing to a van with a lower bed. This is in spite of us vigorously testing the steps when we were looking at it and seemingly managing ok.
