Hi,
We and a crowd of friends are booked for this year, it is expensive and will probably be the last year we go but it is probably the best event of the year with three music stages, loads of stalls and plenty to see in the way of classic vehicles. Look on the Americana website to get the idea. I have never known any problems with children as they are welcome but areas can get crowded...come and enjoy:thumb:

we went last year and loved it. I think Squirrel was meant to be organising a meet there? Not sure if we are going this year John although we want to. The kids loved it last year. if we do we may go for Saturday till late Sunday.
very costly so will wait for a weather report/

We sent off for our Americana tickets before we left for Italy back in May. Hopefully they will have been delivered to us while we are away. I don't think that an area for MotorhomeFun has been allocated this year so I guess we will be parked up in the general camping area. We will have Fun stickers in the window and will be flying our Fun flag.
Looking forward to a great weekend of music, hopefully we will meet up with any other Funsters attending.

We had a great weekend at the Americana, superb weather and great music. Friday nights show was a 70's night and music from Paper Lace, Marmalade, The Rubettes and the Marc Bolan tribute band T-Rextacy bought back memories of my long gone youth. T-Rextacy were absolutely brilliant and had the whole place rocking. Attendance appeared to be down on previous years and there was a lack of traders. Americana 2011 will be held at Newark on 7/8/9/10 July 2011.
The show organisers apparently have issues to address with Newark Showground and the 2012 event may be moved to another location.
