Has anyone out there found a way of growing Herbs sensibly whilst travelling/semi fulltiming?
I do like my fresh herbs and we will be taking a 'gap' year-or-so soon and was wondering if it's possible.

Herbs

Hi
I have used oblong trough - size that will fit in the step while travelling - cant have all the herbs but at least some of your favourites - two troughs if they will fit - they travel much better than round pots.:thumb::thumb:

Good luck with full timing - we have been doing it for 2 years and love it
Cheers

Hi

When we were full time we kept herbs and plants. On site they lived on the dashboard or outside, while on the move we put them in the shower.. :thumb:

Herb growing

Saw a van recently with a flower tower stuffed with growing herbs hanging from the rear ladder

Don't you have to hide the herbs you are growing from the Police etc?

They don't grow well in the dark either.

But don't worry, you can buy good herbs from any African beach trader in Spain, but try to be discrete.

We always have herbs in small pots, so that they can be moved around easily.
We also like to discreetly plant a few herbs on campsites and aires so that there will be a supply for future visits. :thumb:

And, if you get a book on edible wild plants, you'll never be short of flavourings!
