Hi Dodgy
I'm not so sure that its fair but thats the type of quote that I get. 24 Foot ARV with Slide. 6.9Ton MGW. 6.8Litre V10. 2004.

The last time I spoke to a broker the concesus was that because its American there's a bit of the unknown there and so its compensated for with higher premiums.

The more that the Insurance companies get experience with Americans the lower the premiums will become, which doesn't help right know.

If its of help I used IC Choice who were a big improvement upon Adrian Flux.About £150.00 better.

Jim

I got a quote for £488 with NFU but they don't do break down cover, who do you use for break down and what is the cost of it?
This makes a huge difference, I have a quote from caravan guard for £640 all included.

We joined C&CC and then got the RAC arrivals scheme, open to C&CC members which covers any size/age etc. You'd need to check Euro cover if you need as I'm sure there is a certain amount but we have no need at present. I think, and don't quote me, this years renewal is around £110?

We've had to use them 3 times in the last year, 1 car recovery, 1 car to do up exhaust bolt (once upon a time a had enough tools in the car to take it to bits anywhere and put it back together:Doh:) and once for a tyre change on Winne, side of the M6 so figured safer let them do it than me:thumb:

Any good reason to join the c&cc, the discount gained is less than the cost to join the c&cc?

I can't find the paperwork at the mo, but ours started somewhere there abouts but then had a discount applied, can't remember why, that said I've been with the RAC in one form or another most of my motoring life (27years)?
