Caravan owner moved on to Motorhome
Hi Folks,
I'm completely new the MH world (have had caravans for years tho). I picked up my new Bailey Autograph on Friday. Can anyone explain to me what the black cable is for that comes from near the rear TV point? It has a label on it 'Rear TV 2', it looks like an audio cable, but with a million and one adaptors.

Any ideas?

It's an extendable arm for your TV, but your missing the bit that attaches to the TV that will then drop into the grooved bit.

Edit : Oopps, didn't read the post properly

Having had a second look, are they to plug into your TV audio out for other speakers in other areas of your van. What do the labels read, one looks that may say "rear".
Hmmm.. could be. I’ll have a fiddle and let you know. Odd that the dealer didn’t have a clue either!

Getting better month by month.
:welco: to the House of Fun.
The MH may have been ordered for someone else though and they didn't buy it. It looks as though the cable is for TV audio out to another set of Speakers. TV 1 to the lounge and the rear TV2 to another tv at a later stage. Trace the end of the cable when it goes through the cupboard.

The bracket is certainly for holding a tv. Ours is identical. There is a part missing from the photograph that screws into the back of the tv so that the tv can just slide in and out of the bracket.
Not sure what the wires are but they do like they may be jacks for headphones.

Oops me too- didn't read your post properly. You know the bracket is for the tv. I'll get my coat.o_O

They do look like audio cables so probable go to installed speakers. Easy enough to test if you can find the speakers. 12v and 240v power are shown in the photo. I don’t see an aerial or satellite cable. Do you have one?

Doesn't the Bailey come with a Bluetooth speaker? Maybe it takes the audio from the TV to a Bluetooth dingle to transmit?

Certainly the missing part of the bracket that screws to the tv.
Yeah.. sorry folks. I should have said that I'm happy with the TV bracket, its the black cables coming out of the wall I am puzzled by.

This is indeed a part of the media plus pack.
This plugs into the TV so you get sound from the two speakers in the hab area.
Your autograph should have come with at least one avtex TV.
Think the media plus came with two and a sound bar.
Did these come with the motorhome.
Where is the TV situated as we have the 75-2.
In ours we have TV 1 which is in the lounge area. TV 2 which is in the bedroom area and a TV 3 which is the outside socket.
If you look in the Bailey section you can see how to change the TV out into a TV in

Could it be a pre-wired cable from the digi-box to the rear of the van so that an after market 2nd TV could be fitted using the wire?

Now this is very interesting.. the vehicle was advertised as having the Media Pack and supplied with one 19" TV for the front. However, the MH has a full leather upgrade, 6.5" Pioneer Sat Nav, Black Alloys.. a shelf for a speaker.. and now so it seems the wiring for the speaker in the bedroom. I'm beginning to think this MH is a Media Plus MH but with bits missing. The dealer is adamant it's only fitted with the Media Pack and not the Plus Pack.

It's definitely more than the media pack as that is what we have.
Standard sat nav bloothooth etc
I'm certain the media plus is what you have.
I'd be tempted to ring a dealer and ask what the difference is between the two.

Why not call Bailey to confirm the spec? What was it sold as/with?

It does look like it was ordered for someone who didn't end up having it.
I'd say you've 100% got the plus pack.
I'd be asking for your other TV and soundbar.
These are supplied by Bailey not the dealer.

I think I'll go direct to Bailey and get the build sheet/spec sheet for the VIN. There can be no argument then.

Surely it depends how it was sold, if just sold as having the wiring, then not a lot you can do? If sold with the plus pack, you need the rest of the pack.

Now I need to now why the first buyer didn't take it

I guess it could have been ordered for stock by dealer

Maybe the buyer changed his mind and lost his deposit

or has he rejected it for some reason ?

this could run a bit yet, don't leave us without answers Paul (y)

As I understand it.
If it was built at Bailey with the requested plus pack then it should come with the goodies. The op still bought this brand new from a dealer. The extra TV and soundbar is supplied by Bailey not the dealer. So if the dealer as took the TV and soundbar out and passed the van as just having the standard media pack I think that is bad form from the dealer.
The idea of the plus pack with surround sound is all the pre wiring is installed at the factory to accommodate the extra TV and soundbar.

This van had a lot of stuff missing. The Fix n Go tyre pump, washing up bowl, chopping board only after kicking up a fuss did I get these items. When I buy a brand new 794-T I expect to get it in a brand new state, not sold as seen. But the deal is steadfast in insisting that the MH only has the media pack, when clearly it has the fittings of a media plus pack.
