Caravan owner moved on to Motorhome
Greetings all.

I've just become a motorhome owner, picked up the MH on Friday, been away over the weekend, MH is back in the shop having the missing bits fitted and the broken things repaired..<sigh>. I shouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, what I have discovered is that owning a MH is far easier than owning a caravan. No more mucking about trying to reverse the damn thing or setting this and that up. Looking forward to just getting on the road and seeing more places.

Oh, and I'm not sure about all these people waving at me on the road..

Waving is par for the course..... My thoughts are it goes back to the days of VW camper commaradery .
Today, some wave some don't.... Polite to wave back or, unknowingly, you will be called a miserable :swear2:

Since April 1846 but have always camped.
I don’t wave as I feel that if you’ve time to wave then you ain’t concentrating on the road enough and you are therefore a danger! However I have a PVC so no one recognises me and if anyone does wave and am distracted enough to see them then I try and wave.

Do Ford owners wave to Ford owners?

Waving is really the job of the front seat passenger, along with feeding the driver sweets at the start of each new tune on the radio, resetting the Sat Nav, searching internet and Britstops for appropriate places to aim for, phoning through reservations and crotcheting poppies

If I was looking for a husband, the ability to crochet would be high on my list of requirements, along with cooking, knitting, gardening, decorating etc. But I don’t think my wife would be happy if I started looking for a husband.:clap2:

Most of us wave, as it's a friendly world of Funsters we live in; however never on a motorway or dual carriageway, as just too far away, although I've seen some trying:)

When we went to France the first time we were amazed at how many 'waves' we received from the French who looked less than friendly. Then the navigator pointed out the strange wave which consisted of the thumb and index finger forming an '0' and moving the hand back and forward a few times.
Weird les Francais:whistle:

In a LHD vehicle, the passenger can properly reply to the Froggy welcome, by sticking one's arse out of the window :)

Not sure if I understand. Are you saying that a PVC is not a MH. Mine is and it’s haRVey. My son named it RV cos he said it is so the name stays.
Also welcome to the fun? I’ve been around for years.:whistle:

Well, I’m wearing my Funsters badge and waving in the style that @jollyrodger suggested, but so far no one here has waved back
