Getting my new Satellite system fitted in the next couple of week and was checking the list of FREE sat channels. I was hoping that Europsort would be one of them.

Can someone confirm if you can pick Eurosport while in France & Germany.

Yes you can receive FTA Eurosport1 Germany not Eurosport2 though with German audio on Astra 1L at 19.2E 12226.50 H 27500 3/4 All over western Europe.
If you want to be really clever? You can get the English audio on Eurosport Int on Hotbird 13E on 11240V 27500 3/4 The video is encrypted but English Audio clear.
You would need two LNBs to do this with two receivers though. Occasionally they have different content.

Thanks

Need to see my cycling while I’m away in Europe. I take the other option is to get another Sky hd box and take one of my viewing cards with me.

Anyone who has this setup I would like some info

I also watch Giro / Tour of California etc on Eurosport player.
But the above is my default setup in Uk for spring classics. German Audio.
In Algarve....bit more sophisticated with motorised dish + small dish pointed at Astra 1. Feeding two Technomate boxes. The TM Linux box comes with me in Motorhome 12V for Intelsat 907.

depending where your going in Europe and the size of your dish you can get ITV4 right down to Castellane and had the Tour de France on most days using an 85cm dish with autoskew
In fact the only place we couldn't get ITV4 was over near the Pyrenees and then we used Eurosport on the Sky

And if France, then French TV will cover the TdF, and in Spain Spanish TV covers the Vuelta, all available via a tv aerial.
They may also ccover each others races... ie the TdF is also on Spanish TV
