I no it’s sad, but I am so excited about getting my new bike on Friday. The last new bike I had was twenty years ago and I still have it, a Cannondale super V500. Full suspension mountain bike which I have done thousands of miles on and some serious down hilling. I ride with spd shoes and they are also twenty years old. Never wanted another bike untill now. My old cannondale has served me well and is still in very good condition with every thing upgraded. But sadley I must sell it on to make way for my new bike. My new bike is a .........your just have to wait untill Friday

I know the feeling, just given my 13yr old Specialised Hardtail to No1 daughter. Was hard to let it go but my new ride that I picked up 2nd hand end of last year made it a little easier. My SPD's are only 2 weeks old though, still taking some getting used to after ride LOOK for 20yrs years.

I maybe overdid the "please take care of the bike" thing as I dropped it off with her and handed over a whopping big Abus bike chain.....

Ok got my new bike, pics to follow over the weekend. My new bike is a E bike Cube reaction race 500. Completely different to my cannondale. Only had a quick blast on it but I know I am going to love it. Just need some time off work now.

It’s a mountain bike, used for off road, horses for causes.

It's a Bianchi Intenso Ultegra .. this is to to replace a Giant Contend 2 ..

we both started road cycling in ernest last year, and planning a few sportive rides this year and hopefully a bit of credit card touring..

we've always had bikes and taken the kids with us, now they are grown up we do it on our own..

We also have two Specialized RockHoppers for tracks and trails.. great bikes if a bit heavy

Still classic 105 here on my road bike although SRAM on my cross which is happy with mud if a little sensitive to adjust.

Just like mine, I hope you will have as much fun as we do on ours, getting loads of distance in, off on a three day ride starting tomorrow, Bikepacking, so its called, but not carrying camping gear, overnighting in Hotels, eating in bars and restaurants, riding for fun.

Bike packing/Credit card touring, call it as you wish....but now we like the comfort and good food....many years sleeping wherever, whenever.....thats long gone....5 stars not under the stars......but enjoyed it all, and still do.

No I wanted the black one but they give me such a good deal on this one I could not refuse. And my mate can wrap it so can have any colour I like but the red is growing on me as I also like red.
