Due to some plonker leaving the timer on in the van for a couple of weeks after our last trip we are very low on LPG.

All local filling stations are out of it, apparently there has been a problem at the refineries combined with weather conditions.
As MyLPG doesn't give contact numbers I was looking at the FillLPG website gives contact numbers and the icons on the map give prices and more importantly if they are out of stock a Blue "Us" icon. After ringing round a few it appears to be up to date and found some that only means a 10 mile detour for us.

Lenny, I always use FillLPG for the UK as I find it more accurate than MyLPG. It updates every day and I get a daily notification of all the changes made. However, MyLPG is better in Europe.

PS have you found the plonker yet that left the heating on?

I went out today to fill up with LPG first station empty due to production shortage, went to the next one and paid 55 per litre.

Basically it's produced from crude oil. It's liquified petroleum gas. A big production site is Seal Sands in the North East

I wondered if it came on shipping from the Middle East, like the ones that dock in Wales

No the case of Seal Sands, I would hazard (see what I did there) a guess at Teesport but I reckon they would at Pembroke Dock.

Hi EX51 SSS. Where do you go in Bolton for lpg?
I have been using the Shell station on Beaumont Rd. It was out of lpg and showing 67p/ltr.

Hi Don and its a little place near Orlando Bridge, near Lever Street. Now, it really depends on how big your Moho is. It's tight there because mainly taxis use it but they fill for you rather than self service and it's cash only as far as I know. Strangely enough I passed it this morning (closed Sunday) and noted the price.

For those around the Northwich area, Harris Gas are unlikely to run out as they are bottled gas suppliers as well as autogas. They are situated on the Northwich to Warrington road at 53.278434 N, 2.492753 W. I think at that point the B5075 is called Ollershaw Lane

Unfortunately they are still at the mercy of their suppliers which is probably Energas

From the North Sea, we do get Liquified Natural Gas LNG but we also import a vast amount into the Isle of Grain from (wait for it............) Libya.
However, its that good as it has to be diluted to work in our system.

@Lenny HB I believe @ianthebuilder filled up at Morrisons Littlehampton on friday not on your doorstep but if your passing that way.
I may only be 10 miles from Littlehampton but I didn't know they had a Morrison's let alone LPG.:)
Got some at Sissinghurst in Kent on our way to Lydd only about an extra 10-15 miles on our trip. Didn't thing much of the satnag taking me down a country lane especially when we came to a narrow bridge a few inches wider than van, had to stop to put the brown trousers on.:) The satnag was on the Lorry setting!

First year almost done!
Here in North West Kent there is an ongoing shortage of LPG with most filling stations in the Dartford area being sold out. We did find some today (thanks to recommendations on here about filllpg) at 58p a litre in Morrisons at Rochester. Hope this helps anyone on here from this area or passing through.

I can't believe the price differences. In the Musselburgh Shell station it is wait for it 79.9p a litre. As we were in Perth with the van I filled up at 63.9p in the Jet station on south Inch road. As we needed 38 litres it was quite a saving.

Didn’t Morrisons get silly about selling lpg to motorhomes a few years ago? Sounds like they have come to their senses, I hope so because the price seems reasonable.

I found fillpg really good I'm the UK but crap in Spain and use mylpg here.
Morrison's was cerca 53.9 p a litre in Scotland when I left.
Only been using repsol here and seems to average 66 cents a litre.

I'm using about £8 a fortnight so far but fridge is on 24/7 the rest is just cooking and hot water for shower
