Can anyone advise on the weight of my autosleeper 2.8HDi.
The handbook lists lots of different van styles before conversion
The plate under the bonnet reads
3200 kg
5200 kg
1 - 1690 kg
2 - 1750 kg
What do the numbers relate to

Thanks in anticipation

Top line - maximum laden weight
2nd line - maximum train weight (vehicle plus trailer)
3rd line - maximum front axle weight
4th line - maximum rear axle weight

Total of both axles often adds up to more than maximum laden weight to allow for uneven loading.

your maximum weight is 3.2 tonnes barry
driving licence weights have been in metric for 40 years , so imperial is no good to you

and to answer your question , without a medical you can get a licence for 3,500 Kg , so no problem ; you can fill in the form over the internet depending on the age of the photo on your current licence

ps , I here a rumour they are going to sell fuel in litres in the uk ....does that mean we will be talking in miles per litre in future ?

Yes OK point taken but I still need to convert everything. I remember petrol at 2/9p per gallon and a bag of fish and chips for 10pence (not from the same shop)

one shilling =12 old pence
therefore 1 old penny= 0.416 new penny
2.4 op = 1 np
100 op = 41.6 np
240 op=100 np

2/9 = 33 op
weeks wage as an apprentice about £8 = 1920 op
Qualified rate I think about £15 = 3600 op
3600 / 33 =109 gallons

Assume £18000 per year / 52 = £346 / £6 =57 gallons
£ 20000 per year / 52 = £384.6 / £6 = 64 gallons

Motor bike did 60/70 Mpg

haven't needed rods poles or perch's since I was at school, apart from fishing rods, vaulting poles and budgie perch's.
