I had a problem at garage with my hook up. It plugs into external socket (3 pin plug 13amp )on side of garage with closable lid making in water proof, IP66.

But the fly lead adaptor to fit my 25m blue 16amp lead (industrial connector to 13amp plug ) isn't water tight to IP66, only being IP44 and lo and behold when I parted the two they were full of water. Hope this makes sense.

I'm wondering if the hook up lead when fitted with a blue plug (to IP66) will fit on my van as the cover looks quite chunky ?

That's why I have my fly lead adapter plugged into a 230v socket inside my garage and feed the EHU lead through the door frame.

Sorry I knew it sounded confusing, it's the fly lead to long lead that's filling up with water not the 13amp plug/socket on the wall. So the two blue pug/socket parts.

Ah, now I see. In that case, Duck tape round the joint of the blue parts would be my answer.
But I am not a Sparks, only a bodger.

I had a spare cable so fitted a normal three pin plug in place of the hookup plug so plugs into outside socket.with no need for fly lead
