Ours were 6 and 4 when we set off. Ten years later we have recently moved back into a house, although are living in the motorhome again. The link is my girls tale of the last 4 years or so.

We originally got on the Bilbao ferry without even a map or any idea of where we were going.
It is amazing how quickly you learn. Good luck

Cant believe we found you!!

Thank you!!

Ours are 4 and 7 months. We lost my husbands mum and dad last year and we have bought a motorhome with the inheritance with the view to a holiday of a lifetime remembering them..

Thank you for those lovely words we will look at link now - really grateful for the vote of confidence!

Really nervous, but extremely excited. and really hoping to just follow our noses and not do too much planning ahead, great to know it can be done!

Would love any tips if you have the time x

Go for it

On our way home from Spain last week, we met an English couple and 3 children at Cahors in France. The girls were 6 and 4 and the baby still in arms and they were heading down tho Italy to Greece and intended spending at least a year away. Mum was home teaching the girls as they go
So as you see you are not alone out there!!

Enjoy every minute of it.:thumb:

Everyone would have a different view about their top tips. Mine are ..

1 . Take your time. Do not try to do too much

2. Follow the sun. It is so much easier with kids. Long rainy days are no good.

3. Caravan Club site book

4 ACSI card ( cheap off peak sites )

5. Don't spend long hours planning. You will soon learn

6. Have a practice or two or three in UK then try France. It is so easy for motorhomes

I am sure others have different ideas !
