Just insured with Comfort. Very friendly helpful staff. £290 for 2015 Autotrail Navajo, no breakdown cover but covered for 9 months in Europe and most everything else you want. Previously with C & M C same cover but renewal almost £450. That saving will give me a good start to my next trip.

£290 for me including European breakdown.
AIB / Markerstudy

Just an observation but I'm with AIB on three vehicles and whilst they used Markerstudy originally they've all been placed with Highway Insurance, the motorhome arm of LV, for the past year or more. Just wondering.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm just looking on the comparison sites and it's a minefield out there... I've got a headache. Try tomorrow when I'm in a better mood I've got till the end of the month.

Looks expensive to me as well I would have thought around £250 unless you live area that attracts high premiums.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
We were charged £225 for a year 2000 Autosleeper Executive.
Kept at home, never claimed on car insurance & we both have clean licences, not even a speeding fine between us & we're both in our 50s.

Looks expensive to me too. But there is absolutely no logic behind premiums, and we all have too many variables to compare. My policy is 471.73GBP with a 150GBP Excess. Most other Morelo motorhome owners I have spoke to are paying around the 2000GBP with large excess. As I have said before I have no idea how they work out the premiums. I have full NCD purely against the motorhome (20 years) van is stored in Gold CASSOA Storage and has Cat 1 Alarm and Cat 5 Tracker. Mileage is limited to 12K per annum

I did post the saga I had around insuring the van when I got it. Abridged version is Axa wanted almost the annual premium to extend current policy by 4 or so weeks and warned they would probably not quote at renewal. Premium came through a few weeks later at the price stated. The insurance is with the Caravan and Motorhome Club underwritten by Axa Insurance.

Just done my FIRST insurance for the MH running from 1st March- delivery date
I don't have any NCB to use on this vehicle but the premium was £280 with £200xs for 3 drivers with New for Old and European Travel........I think that is very reasonable
