Hello everyone

I had a collision with a pheasant at the weekend that shattered the front grill of my 1991 B534 Fiat Hymer.

Be careful out there. You'd be surprised how much damage a Pheasant can cause!!!!!.
Last year the bonnet was damaged and the life scared out of me by a airborn attack from the hedge rows!!!!!!!. Thank god the windscreen didn't break, I would have been a goner.

Does anyone know of somewhere that would have a replacement. I've emailed Brownhills and Hymer uk. Spent all of today looking online with no luck so far.

Try having an argument with one when your on a motorbike, lucky to stay on but ended up with a bruised shoulder and feathers sticking out my visor.
I,ll never work out when they have 20 acres of open fields at the side of them they always fly across traffic.

When I travelled over the moors to Barnard Castle for work, my record was 23 grouse in a 6 month period. They explode like little puff balls compared to a pheasant :Eeek:::bigsmile:

For goodness sake! If you'd lived a few centuries ago, you'd have been chasing the corpses all over the countryside with your bellies a rumble. (I've seen loads today). What a lovely road is the A1068.

Almost had an argument with 3 deer at the same time in N Lincs last week.
Popping along nicely when they burst out on to the road like an SAS patrol.
No bloody road sense, these animals!
Saw the mess one made of a transit van in scotland years ago. Who do you claim from?

since 2006 ( I think ! )
Muntjac ( pronounced monkjack ) deer are the absolute worst !
They are small deer ( about the size of a big dog .. no not as big as Bruno.. !!! ) and are absolutely solid !

And yep, pheasant on a bike is really bad too ! Mate ended up in hgossy for 3 weeks after one did for him

It's a fairly old van, so may be difficult to sort, but if you want to talk with someone who should know about availability, you might try Peter Hambilton.

Can't vouch personally, but generally well reviewed.

started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
I had a Hymer 544,a similar vintage to yours. When the grill was damaged I went to a fibreglass specialist who repaired it,a lot cheaper than a new one,no waiting for a paertr to be delivered probably from Germany, and you couldn't see the join!!
The firm was based near Wrexham and also repaired ambulances and police vehicles.
