Go to the Louth branch, they have loads of experience with RVs.NFU have just refused auto quote on our motorhome because it is over 3.5t has anyone else come across t his issue?
Now it's odd you should say that. Thanks for everyone's replies, armed with this information I rang back and asked the young lady to recheck.
I have just had a reply from her and the reason is my car isn't insured with them! Talk about blackmail.
I'll stay with Safeguard
Thanks again, you can rely on funsters for information

Agreed.I went to the Telford NFU branch this week for a quote on a 2013 High-top Volkswagen (my avatar). The renewal figure that I had from AXA seemed high at over £400 but the offering from the NFU was 50% higher!
I guess the NFU don't want any type of motor home business.

How long have you been with them ?Mine is with them 12 Tonne , and the premium was slightly lower this renewal , I also have 4 other cars with them .
They advised me that they would cover my scooter but would be a lot cheaper elsewhere
so did it thru Bennett's

Indeed I do John, IMO they went from a 5* insurerNow it's odd you should say that.
They increased the premium on my RV by 50% and when I asked why I was told they don't want RVs, New custom won't be taken and existing customers will be penalised....I'm sure @Geo will remember it as I'm sure he posted a thread.
I had my car insured with them at the same time and BOTH were due renewal.
Because of the increase I told them not to renew the RV but to renew the car.....
No, sorry...we won't renew just the car, no explanation just a simple no.
This was at the Scarborough branch.
I went to Safeguard instead.

At the moment Ken we are using the Fiat one as it is free for 3 years then we will use Green Flag about £100 as they will pull you off a field if stuck.Steve, did you arrange separate breakdown recovery, as I was told they will not recover over 3.5T?
