One very windy day last year, I opened my habitation door which caught the wind, perfectly. I gained a bit of a kink by the top hinge. Has anyone discovered a doable solution for removing my kinky bit, other than re-skinning / replacing the whole door?

It's possible, but not a straight forward process.

You can't push it out, that's for sure, but it can be pulled out. It's a specialist job and I bet not cheap at all.

Lots of videos on YouTube

Depending how bad you can sraighten doors using a block of wood trapped in and pushing it back

I am a little bit confused, nothing new there, as my kinky bit is on the outer skin at the top of my door, adjacent to the hinge. I will attempt a photograph (failed at the moment)

As this is a very skilled operation I certainly wouldn’t go the diy way. Not a recommendation but a trawl of dent removal companies in your area reveals this one - http://www.smartdent-tech.co.uk/.

Might be an idea to ask specifically if they can deal with aluminium panels, if not they may be able to point you in the right direction.

When you say kink do you mean a fold across the whole face ot just a kink locally, you can VERY gently tap around the high spots with a very small hammer or if it is a kink inwards use a glue gun like above to stick little pads on and pull them out then tap.. I have these tools and they are what I would use to pul the dents out of the back panel on the Hymer with problems last week. IF IT, WAS MINE but I am like that anyway. Paintless repair systems are becoming very common now and it is actually very easy to fix small damage but more so withbig dent but possible . Damaging the older type paints is an acceted danger , the new paint will stretch a mile and not pull off the old ones will crack.
Just looked back and seen the photos, can be done easily but you are there I am here.
Get a quote off a local and haggle the price, take an hour most.

I take it it is Aluminium?. If so, and you must go DIY, then one of the "Glue" based pulling systems would be first stop. I will be surprised if you can actually get it perfect. But sufficiently straight to use a small amount of flexible surface filler, and a light paint job?.

To be fair, we had a worse "crease" that this in SWMBO`s car, and it cost less than £80 to get it done, Scruffy back street shop, guy works on his own, but, boy is he good!. (recommended by a buddy who used to run Taxi`s). Ask Around locally.

BTW, whilst on this subject, has anyone else experienced paint flaking on Fiat Bodywork?. The "bonnet" on the Rapido has a couple of patches where the paint has come off. Looks to suspiciously like the base coat was not "keyed" properly before top coat application?.
