Is there anything odd about the large screw covers to gain access to the inside of the fresh water tank. Ours is under a seat and no matter how hard we have tried we cannot get the cover unscrewed. I even asked my son (biceps like Mr Universe) to try and he failed.

Is a 2 x 4 and a hammer the way forward?

Make a simple wooden spanner to fit the lugs.

30 seconds with a hairdrier, comes off no probs. Then as Stealaway said , some kind of lubricant , had to do this with mine , been fine since:).

im a not so newbie
I struggled with mine so made a tool for it.

Get a piece of 4” soil pipe around 6” looks no mark where the fins are and cut/grind slots to suite the covers.

Drill two holes in the top so you can pass say an extension bar through from a 1/2” socket set.
This will allow you to put extra bars on for more leverage.

Hey presto bungs are undone :D

Thanks for your responses. I finally managed to budge it with a broom handle and a hammer. The hatch seal and thread is now greased with Vaseline and should be easier next time.
