Ones we've stayed on have been equally as good as the French ones, but from memory not as many free Aires in the Low Countries as there are in France.

There are more than you think.
But some are just carparks with very little space.
Others are fine Brugge is expensive but very handy for the town.

Try campercontacts they are all on there.

We used it in December for a trip around Belgium. Found it very useful.

We use it mainly in France where we use it in conjunction with Camper Contact. Worth the money.

I prefer to use camper contact, any aires book is quickly out of date. I also find the reviews on camper contact can be useful.

Funnily enough someone called Robert Clark has left a review of tonight’s camper contact spot, is it mhfun @Robert Clark ?

We went to Maastricht last October and hated it. Road system was a mess and Holland is so much more expensive. We soon legged it back to Belgium. Love Belgum so much to see, call in at the tourist office and pick up some leaflets.
What your interests and what do you like doing?

These are just the major towns - there are loads place.

You only need CamperContact for your sat nav - loads of free Aires

Thanks for this. We have been to Maastrict before, but not in the van. We are visiting friends who live there. I'm sure we'll be exploring Belgium, but I also hope to see the tulip fields.

Belgium didn’t work for us, we struggled to find places to stay near the French boarder, using all the apps, and eventually gave up

15 sites next to the French border in Hainaut.

We stayed on a free canalside aire in Hainault next to these very new and very old boat lifts - both worth a visit.

Visit Belgium - Loads to see.

My wife wasn't very happy with the steps down from the old boat lift.
