Hi all,
Just joined the forum, great info here.
We are just doing our homework before buying our first Motor Home.
We have shortlisted the Rollerteam 600 and the Autoquest 180 as options.

I am trying to assertain average MPG for each vehicle and would appreciate advice from owners of each on the MPG they are returning.

many thanks for a great website.

Hi whizzbang & welcome :thumb: You will get around the same mpg from both vans :thumb:
Don't think for one minute you are going to get the claimed 30 plus mpg unless you drive sub 60 on the motorways then park up for the return journey on the m /way :Eeek:It all depends on how you use the van :thumb: go from a to b on m/ways and you may get 30 mpg but put a mix of non m/way driving and you will be nearer a 24 mpg which is still not bad  We tend to use m/w for getting there then run around a good bit before the return  say 750 m/w miles with 750 non m/w using the van like I use the car

Hi We have the autoquest 130 just a little smaller than the 180 we get about 440miles to a tank and depending on price it can be £65-£75 to fill it so you can work it out from that.
We are fully loaded with 3 bikes on the back and dont tend to hold back on MWay.

We have just done a 530 mile trip from the Midlands to Wales in our Autoquest 180. This included some motorway driviing and tackling hilly and narrow roads.

Over the 530 miles we used about 106 litres of fuel, this converts to about 23.3 gallons. Over the trip we therefor averaged 23mpg.

I'm glad you said that. These claims of 30+ bug me. I can't better 25 with a 2.0l JTD.

am i getting my calculations wrong???? i put 10 gallon of my bio fuel in at home m/h completely empty i drive from my house to dover then to pidou where i fuel up again because its completly empty the total trip for me is 325miles so at my rekoning thats 32.5 mpg or im i wrong??? and i did state in my earlier post ON A RUN which means motorway,

The Roller Team 600 driver is still out working so I will ask him the Q when he gets home because he's for ever telling me how many MPG we're getting whether I want to know or not ::bigsmile:
