Recently we attended the NYE Rally at Looe and what a fine time we had :)

I spotted what appeared to be a flag pole with led lights running up it in a straight line.
The lights appeared to change colour and pulse from the bottom to top.
Can I ask does any one know where these are available from as I have searched and don't seem to be able to find anything.

they are sets of solar powered LED strings attached to telescopic flag poles. the pulsing ones are dearer than static or flashing

Very pretty but imagine a campsite with lots of them all flashing ...... headache .... maybe add a security timer that ensures they are off by 10pm or they automatically wring the necks of the owners (y)(y)(y)(y)

You could run the led's up each section then join them with the supplied connectors as you erect the pole.(y)

EDIT: That won't work cos the poles wouldn't collapse bak into themselves...DOH:doh:

I did think that then couldn’t see how you could slide the poles into each other when packing up.
Was hoping for a not to much hassle jobbie :D

At Peterborough Show you need one, to find your white box amonst all the other white boxes in the dark, all parked in the general area.

most folk use what in effect are fishing poles

i used to use 3x 4ft tent poles for a flagpole, but if the ground got wet, the weight of the poles pulled it over. nearly dented a brand new car once with that so switched to the fibreglass telescopic one

Most people use either ty-raps or pvc tape to attach the LED's to telescopic flagpoles, and this has to be done each time you erect the pole. One problem however, is the LED remote controls all seem to be the same frequency. You may think you've just turned your set on, when in actual fact you've turned a neighbours set off

They are good fun but Dave spends a lot of time putting them up, trying to get them to work, taking them down when they get a break and stop working and putting them up again:LOL::LOL: however he will never give in and keeps trying for the perfect lit pole(y)
