Best drink plenty of that Bairaktaris wine, and you'll forget all about the garden :D.

Had to look up Kiveri. I have sailed that bit of the Argolic coast many times all the way down to Kithera, but maybe Kiveri was not on the radar, as it looks too shallow for my 1.8m draught.

Kiparissia was my favourite, but a bit dodgy in NEasterlies although there was a safe quay on the N. side of the bay. Next favourite was Gerakas.

Which way you travelling?

Ancient Nemea was really interesting.
Tonight, the little harbour at Agio Andreas. bit windy with cloud on the mountain tops.

So, in conclusion to my original post, now back in Italy:
Don't expect Minoan Lines to be anything like a normal channel ferry that we're used to. Everything works slowly, in Greek fashion and without the efficiency we have all become accustomed to. OK we didn't have a cabin because we're skinflints, but the journey was long and very tedious and a feet up day was required afterwards. Check in times of 2.30 am and 11pm (2 hours before sailing didn't help. Canteens open and close at unusual times.
Unloading was a manic free for all with vans and lorries down a ramp.
We certainly won't be doing the 25 hour Venice one again.
Returned to Ancona which was much better.
Captive audience canteen price of 15 euros for meat & chips. 3.5 coffee etc,
so must apply for a discount card online.
Greece was marvellous but you need to be an experienced wild camper,
do not go there expecting French aires... Loved it, just like France 30 years ago!
